Station Wagon/Estate

This is a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C200d estate and it's one of our favourite vehicles: it's exceptionally comfortable and has plenty of room for luggage and passengers. It's not too big around town, and not too small for longer journeys. It's our go-to vehicle for long-distance adventures.

This vehicle is a diesel and averages around 5L/100km, which is very fuel-efficient and inexpensive to operate. It is packed with safety features, includes ISOFIX mounting points for children's car seats, and a safety net for keeping luggage in the boot/trunk.

This vehicle is reasonably low to the ground and is not suitable for unsealed roads.

You can pick up or drop off your rental car anywhere in New Zealand that Air New Zealand flies to. One-way rental charges may (but not always) apply if the pick up and drop off are in different locations.

We'll typically meet you at the airport, handover the vehicle, and then let you continue your adventures. We offer a complimentary door-to-door service: we can deliver and/or collect the vehicle to/from your accomodation.

All vehicles include insurance and a full tank of fuel/full battery charge.

EV ⚡️

Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is the perfect EV for couples and small families exploring New Zealand. Comfortable, efficient and surprisingly spacious it offers real-world range of around 400 km around town and 300 km on the open road. Every one of our Tesla includes Premium Connectivity, giving you built-in navigation, streaming music, live traffic information and seamless route planning. Charging is easy. Every vehicle includes access to Tesla Superchargers and the nationwide ChargeNet network, giving you access to hundreds of charging points across New Zealand. Simply plug in and go... we'll bill charging costs at the end of your hire. Worried about EV range? Don't be. The Model Y can comfortably handle almost every road trip in New Zealand. The only route we recommend planning carefully is Te Anau to Milford Sound and back, as there are no charging options in Milford Sound itself.

Volvo XC40

Whether you're staying in the city or exploring New Zealand's mountains, coastlines and back roads, our Volvo XC40 will carry you in comfort, style and safety. Compact enough for city streets yet comfortable on long-distance road trips, it's the perfect touring SUV for couples, families and small groups. Inside you'll find seating for up to four adults (it technically seats five, but it's a bit of a squeeze), a spacious boot/trunk, built-in New Zealand navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus ISOFIX attachment points for children's car seats. Like every Volvo, it’s packed with advanced safety features designed to make every journey more relaxing. With four-wheel drive and confident handling in all conditions the XC40 is particularly popular during winter exploring the South Island. One of the reasons we love this vehicle is that our customers love it too. The XC40 proved so popular that we purchased a second vehicle in exactly the same specification. If you're travelling with friends, family, or need matching vehicles for a wedding, we can provide two identical Volvo XC40s.

Skoda Kodiaq

Our Volvo XC40s have been incredibly popular, but we know they're not always the right fit for families travelling with young children, extra luggage, or larger groups. That's where the Skoda Kodiaq shines. With comfortable seating for up to seven passengers and a huge boot/trunk it's the ideal vehicle for family holidays, South Island road trips, and adventures that require a little more space. The Kodiaq combines practicality with comfort, featuring adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ISOFIX attachment points for children's car seats, and impressive fuel economy for a vehicle of its size. Whether you're exploring New Zealand's cities or covering long distances on the open road, it's designed to make travelling with family and luggage easy. If you're travelling with kids, multiple suitcases, sports equipment, or simply want extra room to spread out, the Kodiaq is the vehicle we'd recommend.

Tesla Model Y

The Tesla Model Y is our most popular vehicle, and it's easy to see why. Combining the efficiency and technology Tesla is famous for with the practicality of a family SUV, it's the perfect choice for road trips, family holidays, and adventures across New Zealand. With comfortable seating for five adults and an enormous 854-litre boot/trunk, the Model Y has plenty of room for luggage. Real-world range is around 400 km around town and 300 km on the open road, making it more than capable of tackling New Zealand's most popular touring routes.
