Who we are

We're W and M. We travel around the New Zealand for work and we like to note the places we love. Our friends ask us for recommendations and we share what we know. At some point we were told to "make a website" and this is the result. We hope it's useful, and that you like it!

The places we love

We love places that are consistently great. We don't like mediocre, and we don't usually go anywhere crazy-super-posh. We love surprises and discovering places that are delight us. (Have you found somewhere you want to share with us? Let us know!)

What about the cars?

When we said we travel around New Zealand for work, we do a lot of travel around New Zealand! Most years we rack up 50-60,000 km of driving before you start adding ferries and aeroplanes.

Over the years we've figured out what we think are the best (comfortable, safe, nice but not too flashy) vehicles to tour New Zealand in and thought we may as well share them with others — so that's when we got a rental service licence, organised some rental car insurance, and put our cars through certificate of fitness of checks, ready for you to rent!

These are the cars that we drive ourselves and keep in our garages. They are impeccably maintained, clean, and comfy. The Tesla is perfect for around town, day trips, or longer trips that you've planned ahead. Our Mercedes C-Class estate is a stunning all-rounder, it'll do anything you want with incredible comfort and class, and plenty of power to boot... it's a joy to drive. The Porsche Panamera is absolutely massive, turns a few heads, and soaks up the kilometres effortlessly — the rear seats are incredibly comfy. If you've got kids and/or plan on doing a little more exploring the Volvo XC60 is perfect with great visibility, plenty of space, and a renowned safety rating.
